FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about Intimate Filler and Care

Straight answers to everything women want to know before deciding.

Legal and safety

Is this legal in Thailand?

Yes, when a licensed doctor performs it in a licensed medical facility using Thai FDA-registered HA filler. If any of these is missing, it is illegal. Always ask to see the licence numbers.

What does off-label mean here?

HA fillers registered in Thailand are approved for the face. Using them elsewhere is off-label use, which doctors may do at their professional discretion. We explain this before you sign the consent form.

What are the risks?

Common: swelling, bruising or small lumps, which usually settle or can be corrected. Rare but serious: infection, blocked blood vessels, and material or clots travelling to other vessels, which can be life-threatening. See the Safety page for details.

Who should not have it?

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an infection or wound in the treatment area, have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners, have had an allergy to HA or local anaesthetic, or whose expectations go beyond what filler can achieve.

I have had silicone or another substance injected before. Can I still have filler?

The doctor needs to examine you with ultrasound and assess you first. In most cases the existing substance has to be dealt with first. We will not inject filler over a foreign substance.

Which filler brand do you use?

Only HA fillers registered with the Thai FDA, bought from licensed distributors. The doctor shows you the product, registration number and lot number on the day.

Procedure and recovery

Does it hurt?

The doctor applies numbing cream first, then injects a local anaesthetic. Most women feel tightness or mild discomfort during the procedure.

How long does it take?

About 60 minutes in total, including time for the numbing cream and observation afterwards.

Can I go back to my hotel or work the same day?

Yes. Normal daily activity is fine, but some activities must be avoided for the period the doctor specifies.

How long must I avoid sex?

14 days, so the filler can settle and to reduce infection risk.

Can I have treatment during my period?

We recommend booking when you are not on your period, for hygiene and to reduce the risk of infection.

Can I consult online first?

Yes. You can send questions privately via LINE or WhatsApp and book a video call with the doctor, but any decision to go ahead with a procedure requires an examination at the clinic first.

Results

Will it look natural?

The doctor focuses on a volume that is balanced with your anatomy, so it looks natural in underwear, swimwear or fitted trousers. Individual results vary.

Does it help with long labia minora or darker skin?

Filler does not reduce the labia minora, but adding fullness to the labia majora may help the proportions look more balanced. For skin tone, see our intimate skin brightening page.

Will it affect sensation?

Filler is injected into the fat layer beneath the skin. It is not designed to change sexual sensation, and we do not claim that it helps with this.

How long does it last? Is it permanent?

No, it is not permanent. Results usually last about 12–18 months, after which the body gradually breaks down the HA naturally.

Will I need top-ups?

To keep the result, yes. Top-ups usually need less volume than the first session. The doctor assesses this at follow-up.

Can it be removed if I do not like it?

Yes. The doctor can inject the enzyme hyaluronidase to dissolve HA, unlike liquid silicone or permanent substances, which are difficult to remove.

Price, privacy and travel

Is the doctor a woman?

Yes. Dr. Kate (Asst. Prof. Dr. Borisut Sanmano) is a female doctor who personally handles every case, from consultation and treatment to follow-up.

How much does it cost?

The price depends on the service and the amount the doctor recommends for you. See the Pricing page; you will always be told the final price before treatment.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Medical records are kept in line with Thailand's healthcare facility law and the PDPA, and we do not disclose your information without your consent.

How many days should international patients stay in Thailand?

We recommend staying at least [XX] days after treatment so you can attend a follow-up check before flying home.

Repair

My mons filler has become lumpy. Can it be fixed?

Yes. If it is HA filler, the doctor dissolves the problem area with an enzyme under ultrasound guidance and then re-injects.

I have had silicone or oil injected before. Can it be corrected?

We start with an ultrasound to identify the type and extent of the substance, then the doctor plans treatment. If surgery is needed, we arrange referral to a suitable surgeon.

I don't know what was injected. What should I do?

Start with an ultrasound, which can help give an initial distinction between HA filler, silicone and oil.

Laser / RF tightening

Does laser tightening hurt? Is there any downtime?

Most women feel warmth or mild stinging. No general anaesthesia is needed, and you can return to work straight away. Avoid intercourse, baths and swimming for 3–5 days as the doctor advises.

Can it help with bladder leaks?

It helps many women with mild to moderate symptoms. The doctor assesses the severity first; more significant symptoms may need other treatment as well.

Skin brightening and women's health

Can a dark groin be treated?

It can improve. The doctor first identifies the cause, then chooses topical treatment or laser to suit your skin. Results are gradual and need ongoing care.

Can I have a pelvic exam here?

Yes. Pelvic exams and cervical cancer screening are done in a private room with a female doctor. Please book when you are not on your period.

Free consultation with a female doctor. No obligation.Message us privately on WhatsApp or LINE. The doctor will recommend the approach that suits you best.
